Opportunity Information: Apply for HQ003425NFOEASD03

The Department of Defense Cyber Service Academy (DoD CSA) is a scholarship and professional development program aimed at strengthening the DoD’s cyber workforce by recruiting new talent and retaining skilled personnel. Administered through grants to accredited U.S. institutions designated as National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-Cs), the program provides funding for full-time scholarships in cyber-related disciplines for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Eligible NCAE-Cs can collaborate with other accredited institutions, including minority-serving schools, and may request additional funding for faculty development, lab improvements, and curriculum enhancements. Grant applicants must be in good standing with the NCAE-C Program Office and comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Scholarships are available for students at various academic levels, including: - Second-year community college students transitioning to a bachelor’s program at an NCAE-C institution - Individuals with non-cyber degrees pursuing an associate’s degree in cybersecurity - Juniors and seniors in bachelor’s programs (sophomores advancing to junior status in Fall 2025 are eligible) - First- or second-year master’s students - Doctoral students

Traditional National Guard and reserve members may apply under the recruitment program. DoD civilians and active duty military personnel are eligible for the retention program but must be nominated by their respective DoD components. ROTC participants may apply if they do not have an existing service obligation. Employees of non-DoD federal agencies are not eligible.

Academic and eligibility requirements for the DoD CSA are strict, and no exceptions will be made. All institutions and applicants must meet program-specific criteria.
